Rev. David Kagiwada

Rev. Harold Johnson

Rev. Soonkook Choi

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I hope this message finds you well. It is with great pleasure that I reflect on the exciting summer we experienced during the in-person NAPAD convocation held in Salt Lake City. The gathering was marked by profound worship, camaraderie, and meaningful sharing. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to all those who contributed to making this event a resounding success.

As we observe, every year, Disciples commemorate the second week of September as NAPAD Ministry Week, commencing with Kagiwada Sunday. David Kagiwada, one of the esteemed founders of the NAPAD ministry, was a passionate advocate for fostering unity and reconciliation across diverse cultures and communities. We hold deep appreciation for his invaluable contributions and the enduring legacy of peace he left behind.

We also recognize the numerous witnesses to our ministry, including Rev. Harold Johnson and Soongook Choi, as well as many other current and former community leaders whose selfless dedication has significantly enriched our NAPAD ministry.

During our convocation, we acknowledged that we stand at a critical juncture for transforming our ministry in response to the evolving environment. In this pivotal moment, I humbly request your continued prayers and support. With your unwavering partnership, I firmly believe that we will advance as a community characterized by evangelical passion, radical inclusiveness, and a profound sense of responsibility to the world.

I pray that the abundant grace and blessings of our Lord may encompass you during this season of harvest.

Thank you for your attention and support.

Rev. Chung Seong Kim, Executive Pastor of NAPAD
